The Metella borrows from medieval sconce proportions without the ironmongery, keeping the rounded glass form and dropping the ornament.
The glass is thick enough to hold a visible edge, which is what gives the piece weight on a wall. Two sizes are available, the larger reading noticeably more architectural. Cool white pushes it contemporary; warm white lets the medieval reference come through.
Works on a stair wall, behind a bedhead, or either side of a fireplace.
